FAQs on the MIBB family

How can I settle an MIBB report?
MIBB reports can be billed using the tariff item “00.2285 Non-formalized report, 11 – 35 lines of text”.
Settlement MIBB
Caution: In radiology, everything is normally billed inclusive. Several departments (not only radiology, but also gynecology, for example) must then be involved and appear in the report header.
It is ok if there is also a case follow-up (6 weeks) of the case.
How can I check my MIBB data?

You can find instructions for this under the following links: DE, FR

Which operations count so that they can be published on www.mibb.ch?

For an operation to count, the case status in AdjumedCollect must be “completed”, i.e. all mandatory fields must be filled in and the case must have passed the series check without an error message.

MIBB operations in which several surgeons were active can only be attributed to one main surgeon.

The operation date (field no. 100) determines the year to which the operation is counted and not the start of the case. For example: The start of the case (first contact with the patient) was in November 2017, the operation took place in January 2018. This case is therefore attributed to 2018.

When is the annual publication of the centers and surgeons on www.mibb.ch?

The deadline for MIBB submissions is April 30.

In May, all hospital managers and MIBB surgeons will be sent a circular email asking them to review the provisional list of centers and surgeons and then provide feedback.

The final list of centers and operators is published in June of each year for the previous year.

What do I have to do as an MIBB surgeon if I change hospitals?

If you will continue to perform MIBBs at your new place of work, please send an e-mail to mibb@adjumed.ch stating your former/new hospital and your previous/new surgeon number. We can then use this information to transfer your surgical history to the new hospital.

However, if you no longer wish to be included on the list of surgeons, please also send an e-mail to mibb@adjumed.ch stating your existing hospital and surgeon number.

I am interested in becoming an MIBB surgeon or would like to join the MIBB membership with my hospital. What do I have to do and what are the costs?
For detailed information on membership, please visit https://www.mibb.ch/membership/.
