Swissvasc Registry is a registry consisting of the vascular surgery collective of approximately 35 participating vascular surgery clinics and departments throughout Switzerland. The aim of the quality register is to record, track and statistically evaluate not only the sheer number of vascular surgery and interventional procedures performed, but above all their indication and outcome quality. <\/p>\n

Thanks to partially pre-filled questionnaires, data can be entered very efficiently and automatic calculations of the SGG-OP codes serve as “acknowledgement” and control of the entries.<\/p>\n

The Swissvasc registry was internationally validated in 2023, demonstrating excellent internal and external validity<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In cooperation with the Health Department of the Canton of Zurich, data from the registry is being linked with data from the medical statistics as part of a pilot project to show long-term outcomes and mortality. Other cantons are also involved in this project. <\/p>\n
